Our Story...
Rachel and Jason both grew up on the North Yorkshire coast before pursuing their studies in environmental and geological sciences at university. Rachel completed her environmental degree at Edge Hill University near Liverpool, while Jason studied geology at Plymouth University on the south coast. Following their studies, both returned to the northeast, where they began their careers in the geotechnical field, working on national house builder’s sites, primarily within the region. Their early career experiences involved engaging with landowners, clients, site investigations, designers, site managers, and foundation designs, all of which shaped their vision for the future—creating family homes in more rural settings. As their careers progressed, Rachel gained expertise in environmental monitoring, sustainability, quality control, and management, while Jason developed skills in construction and mining project management, financial budgeting, contracts, and tender preparation and execution. More recently, Jason achieved the status of Chartered Geologist. Having reached a stage in their professional journey where they feel confident in their skills and experiences, Rachel and Jason are now ready to collaborate with local contractors and private investors to fulfil their passion for developing a property portfolio focused on rural conversions and new-build homes. Their aim is to move away from standard, “off-the-shelf” designs in favour of high-specification and individually crafted properties.
